How We Met

During Kristin's first week at Juniata College, she became friends with many people in her dorm and the neighboring dorm, including Scott's roommate Pete. One day while going to visit Pete, she opened the door to see what would be the highlight of her night — seeing Scott standing under a black light putting on deodorant and thinking she was in the wrong room. The night eventually led to Kristin & Scott sitting outside and having a long conversation. They started hanging out every day and after numerous questions from their friends, they decided to make it official on September 21st, 2001.

Since then, Scott and Kristin have been inseparable. Any roommate of Kristin's after freshman year pretty much knew Scott was part of the package. Scott graduated from Juniata College in 2004, but moved into a house in Huntingdon with Kristin and her roommates until she graduated in 2005. The two began to look at their future together and found an apartment in Harrisburg, PA. Scott and Kristin both found jobs, although in opposite directions, making Harrisburg a central location for living.

In October of 2005 Scott and Kristin adopted Chester, a German Shepherd/Chow Chow mix from the local humane society. Although Chester made numerous doggie friends in the apartment complex, he yearned for a bigger yard, as did Scott and Kristin. So in 2006, the two began looking at houses. At the last place they visited, they both agreed to take a break from house-hunting for a while. Kristin made the comment to Scott before they walked in to see the last house that this house was going to be the house they bought. (It is ironic how things hit you when you stop searching for them.) A few weeks later in October, the two were signing on the mortgage to their new house.
